Enterprise Data Solutions (EDS): Team Mission@headingTag>
The EDS team is the primary data reporting team for the University of Nebraska (NU) system. The team is responsible for maintaining the reporting data warehouse that holds business and finance data as well as student data. EDS builds and maintains the data warehouse, meets with campus constituents to support data needs, and provides technical solutions for data management, infrastructure and security.
The team also provides consultation on data topics for the NU President and Provost Offices—and across the NU system—to support data-informed decision-making. The Chief Data Officer leads the EDS team and oversees data governance initiatives.
Underlying the EDS mission are unified management processes and structures that integrate data from multiple sources—allowing audiences across the University system to find meaning within data and make it actionable for users of all backgrounds.
The EDS team supports the NU system mission by:
- Supplying data to inform the strategic framework for campus leaders
- Tying metrics to larger initiatives to support a data-informed institution
- Integrating metrics to support vision and provide a next-generation education
- Mapping economic impact to support the Nebraska workforce
